Cricket Club Fund Raiser – Race Night at The Village Hall – Friday 25th April

Following on from the resounding success of last year Hambledon Cricket Club is hosting a Race Night on Friday 25 April, we are hoping to raise much needed funds for the club.

We are selling tables of 6/8/10 people at £5 per head so get your friends together and book a table, individual places are also available, numbers are limited so get your booking in quickly, it promises to be a fun filled night!

There will be a licenced bar and pizza by Zoo Café on the night.

More details to follow about opportunities to purchase a horse and/or jockey in each race and chose your own name,  and many other things.

Hambledon Cricket Club End of Season Extravaganza – Saturday 14th October

The Cricket Club are holding an end of season party at the Village Hall on Saturday 14th October.

ALL are welcome – past, present and future members/affiliates and family/friends, and anyone from the village! Live music, plenty of food and drink, as well as a raffle/auction to raise funds for the club.

Hambledon Cricket Club Season Opener

This Sunday the 8th of May marks Hambledon Cricket Club’s first match of the season; at home against Bramley from 2pm. The club extends a warm welcome to all to come down to the green for a relaxed afternoon of village cricket confident in the knowledge that there’ll be a well-stocked bar in the club house.

The Village Shop will be open until 2pm so why not pop in before the match to stock up on essential picnic supplies before what looks to be a warm Sunday afternoon. Hambledon Cricket Club (HCC) could speak long about their close history with cricket: the first record being a ladies match in July 1745 when Hambledon beat Bramley by 127 “notches” to 119, or the fact that HCC has been an ever present part of the village and its life from the late 19th Century to date.  

However that could perhaps date us! 

What hasn’t changed however is our ethos of being a friendly yet competitive community club, open to all comers and upholding the best traditions of village cricket.  We are lucky to be able to enjoy a safe, quiet and idyllic green, held on trust for the village to play cricket on.
