The Easter holidays are drawing close, and St Peter’s is marking this special time in the Church year with an egg hunt around the village.
Timed to coincide with the school break, families are invited to take part in The Great Hambledon Easter Egg Hunt, which will run from Saturday April 3rd through to Sunday April 25th.
Clues to the location of five alphabet letters concealed in the vicinity of the Cricket Green will be available on a sheet collected from the Village Shop. Find the letters to discover the word they create and participants are then well on their way to finding the Easter Egg treasure!
But first they must enter the word online to receive a code. Without this they cannot open the padlock, the final stage to revealing the contents of the treasure chest. The leaflet contains details of where to log-in and a scan is also available.
There is one very important thing to remember: DO NOT remove the letters when you find them as they must remain hidden for others to discover. Just keep the location a secret. Families can take part in the hunt at any time between the 3rd and 25th of April, but remember to make a note of the shop’s opening hours for clue sheet collection.
The hours can be found on this website on the shop page and from the link on the menu on the right.
In addition to the shop, local volunteer Jo Kirkland will also be dropping off copies of the clue sheet to homes in the centre of the village.

Please note: There is a misprint on the sheet indicating there are six clues. This is incorrect and you are looking for FIVE hidden letters.
