We are fed up with this litter bug who chucks millers-lite cans in to our hedgerows.. In the spirit of Christmas Good-will to all men I bribed the grandchildren with a penny a piece of rubbish to look for rubbish in our little woodland rue at the corner by Shaftowes. We emerged from the woodland ( of about 200 yards long) with 110 cans.and me ?5 poorer!
Continuing this spirit of Christmas charity we set out on our post prandial Christmas lunch walk ( some 19 strong) towards Chiddingfold.( venturing even off the Hambledon patch!) 289 cans picked up-later and having run out of the bags we brought with us we continued our walk till over taken by darkness, collecting our full bags on the way home.
But we have not cleared them all. I espied on my peddle today to the shop some near Bonners,a few nearer Placewood, and we did collect 181 on the March clean-up, so it has got worse.
I have taken down some of the batch numbers and hope that Millers themselves may be able to help trace the purchase source. Any other ideas? does no-one ever see this litter bug.??
