A New Era at Hambledon FC!

 Basically, the work was allowed to commence due to a generous donation from a local club supporter. Work began last September with specialist groundwork contractors from Buckinghamshire carrying out the works. The leveling was completed in less than a week which included full laser leveling & drill seeding. Image 0025 is the beginning of the works.

The next phase of the project is to progress with the new club house. We have received excellent support from the village which has helped enormously towards planning permission being granted by Waverley (18th June).
 
That was the easy bit! We now have the tremendous task of raising money to pay for it. We will of course be applying for funding from the sporting bodies, etc & working tirelessly by doing our own fund raising. We estimate the cost of providing the club house & car parking will be in the region of £110,000.
We are ambitious & our aim is to have the new club house up & running by September 2009 (subject to funding).
 
It was good to see the village fete so well supported & every penny will help towards reaching our aim to improve facilities at the ground which will help to sustain the club’s existence for many years to come.
