Peter Spall, a Hambledon resident for more than 15 years, has joined the parish council.

He was co-opted on following the resignation of Mike Whittall, who has moved from the village.

The arrival of Peter brings the council back to its full complement of seven councillors. He attended his first meeting in the village hall last night where he was welcomed by chairman John Anderson.

Peter, 62, is married with two daughters and lives in the centre of the village on Vann Lane. He is a director of an insurance broking company.

The parish council has the power to co-opt a new member when a vacancy occurs mid term, is advertised and provided that there is no call for a by-election. This process has been followed and Peter kindly put his name forward for the voluntary position.

Contact details for Peter and all parish councillors and clerk can be found on the Parish Council page on this website under the section Clubs and Organisations.
