Planning Your Route
Oaktree Routes have produced some laminated maps showing many of the bridleways and paths around Hambledon that are suitable for cycling with annotations advising on any steep gradients and trail conditions (some of the bridleways around Hambledon can get very muddy). These maps are for sale in The Village Shop and The Merry Harriers.
Surrey Cycleway passes through Hambledon and uses quiet county roads (apart from the stretch at Alfold Crossways which uses the Alfold Bypass and should be avoided if possible). This link to OpenCycleMap shows the route of the Surrey Cycleway in blue. OpenCycleMap is an excellent tool to use to plan routes, it not only shows all the national cycle routes, but also the many bridleways around Hambledon (shown as green dashed lines).
If you live in the village and need some simple bike repairs done, George Pitt or Jon Petersen will probably help you out.
