Come along and get involved. We’re looking for helpers at the Hambledon Midsummer Festival, which is just 5 weeks away. If you can offer any help across any of the 3 days of the Festival and/or the 2 days prior. Please come along to this meeting and let us know. If you can’t make the meeting but would like to get involved, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Proceeds from the Festival help fund the various village organisations that help make the village such a vibrant place. Two important fund raising activities are the Grand Draw at the Fete and the Auction at the Summer Ball. If you are able to offer prizes for either we’d be very grateful.
The full programme for the Festival can be found here: hambledonfestival.co.uk.
As part of the long awaited Hambledon Midsummer Festival, on the evening of Friday 17th June the Junction 4 Big Band will once again be playing on the Cricket Green. Many people bought tickets for this event two years ago. If you chose to roll over those tickets then they remain valid for this event and you will have received a confirmation email in the last few days.
Some tickets remain for this event and they are now on sale at hambledonfestival.co.uk. Adult tickets are £15 and under 16’s tickets are free. The event starts at 6pm.
The Festival Tree has been erected (thanks Dorian), the signs are up and the weather forecast looks good.
Bric ‘a Brac will be sold, dogs will be judged, kids will race. And after all that we’ll all have a party.
Please come along and support the fete from 2:30pm on Saturday 28th August, even though it’ll be a bit smaller than usual and then come to the Village BBQ outside the Shop from 5pm with live music featuring bands of local talent!
You can buy tickets for the BBQ at £10 for an adult and £5 for an under 16 either on line by clicking here or at the Village Shop.
And don’t forget we have the Hambledon Village Show on the same day.
If you’d like to get involved in helping with this summer’s Village Fete, then please come along to a public meeting at Hambledon Village Shop on Tuesday June 29th at 7:30pm. We’re looking for volunteers to help run stalls and also to help with setting up for the event and the Village Shop BBQ to be held after the fete.
Because of covid regulations the meeting will be held outdoors. Given the weather we’ve had so far this summer, please come prepared.
The Fete and Village Shop BBQ will be on Saturday 28th August, with the fete starting at 2:30pm and the Village Shop BBQ from 5pm to 8pm.
Any questions about the meeting or the events can be emailed to email@example.com.
