Would you like to join our friendly Village Hall Committee?

We are looking for someone who would like to join the village hall committee in the role of Treasurer. This is a voluntary position.

The Treasurer looks after day-to-day finances, including all payments and invoicing and also prepares a profit & loss statement after each event. Annually, the Treasurer compiles and files our financial return with the Charity Commission.

The committee usually meets every three months and runs various different events throughout the year.

No formal accountancy training is required for this role but the Treasurer needs to be happy working with numbers and spreadsheets etc. An understanding of accounting packages would also be very useful.

If you think you might like to join our happy team and to find out more about what the role involves, please contact Ruth Canham on villagehall@hambledonsurrey.co.uk
