Thursday 15th December at 7.30PM. The popular annual Christmas sing-along at the Merry Harriers is tonight. Simon Willetts and Lisa will be leading the well known carols and a couple of poppy Christmas numbers to get everyone in the festive spirit. Book a table (food will be served as usual), or come along. All welcome, and do invite friends.

Messy Church is back for Autumn!

The Hambledon Church Messy team are looking forward to welcoming everyone back and meeting new friends at Messy this Sunday – 4pm in the Village Hall. Each month this term will be about Jesus’s miracles, starting this Sunday with some of his GENEROUS miracles: water into wine and feeding the 5k. All welcome, including children!

For those that missed last Sunday’s church service for the Queen, the national anthem, a minute silence, prayers and appropriate hymns will be included at the 10am service at church again this week. The Hambledon church bell will be rung at 8pm to join in with the national tolling of church bells.

All welcome to mark the end of summer with a last glass of Pimm’s!

There is special service taking place at Hambledon Church this coming Sunday evening (4th September) at 6pm.  “Hymns and Pimm’s” is a little like Songs of Praise, but with the added incentive of a glass of Pimm’s before it all starts!  On arrival, the congregation get to nominate their favourite hymn – then enjoy the (free) Pimm’s and sit down and listen out to see if your personal favourite hymn makes the shortlist to be sung during the service.  The Pimm’s will start flowing at 6pm on Sunday with the service starting soon after; further details can be found on the attached flyer.  All welcome, this service is for everyone whether you’re a regular at church or not – just come along and enjoy singing some of the best-loved hymns you’ll remember from your childhood.

Please note Hymns and Pimm’s replaces the 10am Morning Service on 4th September.  The single morning service at 10am resumes 11 Sep – less the Pimm’s, but with tea and coffee after.  Messy Church in the Village Hall is back on 18 Sep at 4pm.

Godalming Rotary will be collecting for the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.  Prayers will be led by Rev Simon Taylor, Rector of Busbridge&Hambledon Church.

Carols at the pub – now in the beer garden

Hambledon Church COVID Update: Tonight’s (Thursday) Carols at the Pub will now be sung outdoors in the wonderful open air of the Merry Harriers beer garden!

The bar will of course be open to get drinks before and after, but please do join the band outside from 7.30pm for some favourite carols and one or two Christmas songs. Thanks to the Merry Harriers for hosting once again, and making arrangements for outside – it will be a great setting for this annual village tradition!

Also, for the traditional Candlelit Carol Service at church on Sunday 19 December at 7pm: face coverings are legally required during the service, and refreshments (mulled wine and mince pies) will be served outdoors in the churchyard afterwards.

ADDITIONAL PARKING is available in the Hambledon Nursery School car park for all Christmas services, and recommended for those that can manage the short walk up the footpath between the pub and nursery carparks.
