A bit of background…

The Old Coal Yard is an exclusive space owned by Richard Fields, with 11 independent businesses who offer unique products and services to the local community throughout the year.

A few times a year, the overarching brand team, Coal Yard Creatives, hosts special events and invites other small businesses from the local area, bringing even more amazing artisan products and services to Hambledon, Surrey and the surrounding villages. The creatives bring businesses and the community together in a relaxed setting with delicious food, drink and live music on offer. It’s a great way to support local makers and have a fun afternoon out on your doorstep.

The Christmas Market

The Coal Yard Creatives have hosted a market near Christmas time for a few years now, adding an extra bit of Christmas Sparkle in addition to the other lovely local Christmas events we have going on in the village.

You will also get to stroll in and out of the businesses based at the Coal Yard and meet the owners as well as seeing what they have to offer all year round. There are always special Christmas goodies available for unique gifts or just to treat yourselves!

This year, Hilltop Kitchen will be offering some yummy sweet and savoury snacks and an Acoustic Duo band will be singing some festive songs from 1pm to 3pm for you to sing along with! The Village Spirit Collective will also have some warming tipples to sip as you wander around the market.
