As you’ll see from the calendar on the web site there’s a lot going on in the village over the next few weeks. Here are a few highlights:
Sunday 13th August – from 3pm to 5pm will be the monthly Jazz Jam at the Merry Harriers. This is probably one of Surrey’s best kept secrets, a great afternoon, especially if the weather’s fine and and Hambledon’s own David Kirby and his fellow musicians are playing in the garden.
Saturday 2nd September – the annual Hambledon Village Show will take place in the Village Hall. Get your exhibits there between 9.30am and 11.30 am, open to the public from 2pm to 4.30pm.
Saturday 23rd September – the 2017 Harvest Supper will be held at the Village Hall from 7pm. Tickets are £8 each and available from the Village Shop (what isn’t….). Apparently last year there was communal village singing.
And last but not least, keep the weekend of 22nd to 24th of June 2018 free. If the rumours are true, the bi-ennial fete weekend has become the Hambledon Mid-Summer Festival, with festivities planned from the Friday evening throughout the weekend. More details to come.
