This Sunday sees the return of a traditional local cricket fixture at Hambledon with a game against Chiddingfold for the inaugural John Tidmarsh Cup.
John and Annie were much loved and well respected residents of both villages. Many in Hambledon will remember John for his work in the shop and post office as well as his stewardship of the village hall. He also served Chiddingfold CC for many years in various roles. He played cricket for the club from his teenage years until the age of 50. Hambledon CC President, Arthur Blackman, fondly remembers playing against John back in the day.
Although covid restrictions must remain in place everyone is welcome to watch the game. Play starts at 2pm.
