The Homes and Communities Agency, the Government’s regeneration body, was granted outline planning permission to redevelop the site in Tuesley Lane earlier this year. Hambledon Parish Council supported the principle of new homes on the land around Milford Hospital but raised serious concerns about the impact of traffic on narrow, rural lanes in the vicinity.  These issues are still to be addressed.

Since outline permission was granted, the HCA has appointed David Wilson Homes to develop the site and it must submit a detailed planning application to Waverley Borough Council before it can do so.

The developer said that it was making its proposals available for scrutiny so that the local community can view and comment on the scheme prior to the submission of a detailed planning application.  After viewing the scheme online, people can make comments on a Freephone information line – 0800 112 3540.
